Ikebana Methods - 1 Hour Workshop
Learn basic techniques of ikebana, the art of Japanese floral arrangement.
The workshop will be led by Nozomi Morita - born & raised in Osaka, Japan, she was taught ikebana from her mother who is certified in ikebana in Japan. Nozomi will review materials needed for ikebana and share a few basic methods on how to make ikebana arrangements on your own. She will also show how to wrap your arrangement with a Furoshiki wrapping cloth at the end.
Workshop cost covers all ikebana materials & instruction:
- Small kenzan
- Fresh cut flowers (Ranunculus or similar flower)
- Japanese brand "Hasami" Porcelain tray
All materials will be provided and you can take your arrangement home with you afterwards. ***Scissors will be provided but not included in materials you can take home.
Wine will also be provided during the workshop! As well as still & sparkling water :)
This workshop will be hosted at our Downtown Los Angeles studio/shop.
